
Burning extra calories throughout your day doesn't have to be hard work and we've got the list to prove it. And no, lunging while sweeping didn't make our list. Which one is your favorite?
1.) Drink a cold glass of water before you exercise – you burn up to 100 calories just by warming up again.
2.) Laugh – it tones your abs AND makes you happy.
3.) Breathe through your nose not your mouth – this regulates your heart rate and increases your endurance.
4.) Eat spicy food – thermogenics found in spicy food actually burns calories.
5.) Dance – bust your favorite move.
6.) Turn the shower on cold 20 seconds before you get out – that's another 100 calories.
7.) Take the stairs not the elevator.
8.) Wash the car yourself.
9.) Do some gardening.
10.) Drink green tea – the antioxidant ECEG found in green tea helps boost your metabolism.
11.) Squat instead of kneeling down.
12.) Get enough sleep – a good night's sleep will help you burn 40% more calories.
13.) Stop emailing or texting people nearby and go visit them.
14.) Chew gum – and make it sugarless.
15.) Stand on your tip-toes while brushing your teeth.
16.) Try alternating lunges during commercial breaks.
17.) Lose the remote control and get up to channel surf.
18.) Vacuuming – 25 minutes of vacuuming around your home will burn about 100 calories.
19.) Golfing – just 20 minutes of playing golf will burn 100 calories.
20.) Paint the ugliest room in your house.
21.) Park your car further from the entrance.
22.) Play tag with your kids – or nieces or nephews.
23.) Challenge your friend to a serious ping- pong match – loser buys dinner (a healthy one of course!)
24.) Eat every two hours – from the time you wake up to about 6 or 7 pm. Eating often will help keep your metabolism burning all day. Avoid high calorie temptations!
25.) Kiss someone – a lot.
